The Frugal Fashionista – Designers United III

It’s likely that we’ll all be hearing about Designers United III all over the feeds and grid-wide until it’s all over (and far beyond that, I suspect) But, though I am usually the type to rebel against the ordinary, DU3 was an event that I simply could not pass up the opportunity to share. As soon as I heard that some of my favorite designers were teaming up with a Vaudevillian theme for this Designer’s United, I knew that soon, my wallet would be empty, but my hard drive would be full of snapshots of amazing creations. I was certainly not far off in my assumptions – though I must admit that, while I bought a TON of items, I didn’t spend near as much as I was planning to!

This fancy frock from ~*RunoRuno*~ only set me back L$100, and includes all the frills and ruffles any girl’s heart could desire. Paired with the shoes from Anexx (only L$280 for the shoes with 2 sock options, plain black shoes, or black shoes with the socks included!) this entire ensemble was an absolute steal. The hair, from @Waffles! was only L$150 for a pack of two colors AND included hair accessories (a version with pearls and bows, or pearls, bows AND flowers). And, perhaps one of my favorite items, the new Tres Blah ‘Hiccup’ skins are available for $L800 per makup or L$3500 for the entire fatpack (which includes so many makeup, brow, and freckle options I thought my head would explode). But, this version of the skin, “Mummer” is available for only L$400!
