I saw a friend of mine wearing this adorable hair this evening that echoes my current haircut, slightly. I inspected it to find out where it was from – The Abyss. While in “inspection” mode, my camera tilted upwards slightly thanks to a poor twist of the hand – and look at what I found.
What beautiful texturing! What perfect prim work! *cough*
…and these are supposed to be alts of Amby & Lost, of Naughty fame? No wonder the model on the vendor doesn’t have a top angle of the ‘do.
Oh, by the way? You’ll be shelling out a fine $250L for one color if you choose to purchase this hair.
i often wrap elastic bands around locks of hair, i actually suggested incorporating this in to the design.

I heard that rumor too(Abyss – ND) but I thought there are so many simple mistakes there that designers with ND’s experience would never make. The vendor system alone is enough to cause a seizure with all that flashing or did they fix that. I just can’t see Lost allowing hair with such sloppy alignment being released. Then again, isn’t every new store Lost and Amby?
But.. but Tenshi, Lost is oh so busy with Armidi! He doesn’t have the time to perfect Abyss’ hair! *snickers*
I thought after the release of the scorpio skins it’s no longer a mystery whether this store is run by Amby and Lost.
The price is right. I hate spending $300 on ND hair which is why I don’t … You can usually find a similar style (I am NOT implying that anyone copied anything) at a more affordable store. For this, ETD has a short cut covering the eye that was released ages ago under the high fashion line.
I actually love this hair from Abyss. The prim discrepencies you show here don’t show up on the light blonde texture.

I agree with Carissa, it doesn’t show on the smoke or fire textures either.
Then don’t you think they’d bother to take the time to fix it on the other textures? I think only showing blonde on the vendor is a perfect way to hide it.
Couldn’t you be bothered to try a demo or find someone else that has it before jumping on somebody? I have that hair in that color and I don’t see any lines. It probably wasn’t fully loaded or maybe your friend edited it and messed it up, though I don’t know how because its all one prim where those lines are. I’d be happy to show you mine in world if you want to compare.
eeh doesn’t really matter if they are someones alts or not. Its a hairstyle alot of people like and its nice.
I have the willow pack of that hair and the only color seems to have that issue is the rust, but I really don’t care.
I really don’t cam the top of my head most of the time anyways. They do a excellent job on all the other stuff so really its not a big concern for me.
Alot of people that do hair to really…don’t show the top of their head anyways when doing hair adds…so it really shouldn’t matter.
Don’t care what alts they are or who is behind it. They are really good at skins and stuff

It was a little hard to read the article as sarcastic. The picture looks like bobby pins! I love to see avatars in house dresses and pins and curlers. (Maybe that qualifies as a kink?)

Okay, it is tad off, but come on. You think that the hair is noobie-ish. It is starting to feel like you just like to rant about the shortcomings of different designers’ hair, other than absolutely perfect hair. Yes, it isn’t the best textured hair on the grid, but get over it! How many people are going to be looking at the textures and prims and making judgments? Yes, 250L$ is expensive for one color.
Plus, couldn’t you just select and re-do the texture in build mode to fix it up?

*chuckles* If I shell out L$ for a hair, you better be damn well sure I won’t be “retexturing” or “reprimming” anything save for a slight stretch or shrink.

It was obvious from the beginning that this is not hair by Lost unless he rushed it to get it put out quickly and in turn gave up quality. A fact we do know is the skin they sell IS by Lost. This has been indirectly admitted by him already. (He shows it off on the Naughty Design blog months earlier..).
When I saw this hair I got the light blond and I thought it was cute but it certaintly was not the quality of Naughty design, so I just deleted the demo and didnt buy the hair. It was good, but not worth $250. I also wonder if your friend maybe edited the hair and messed it up?
I dont know whats going on, but I still believe the hair at armidi is by lost, and so is the scorpio skin at the abyss. I have a lot of hair by naughty designs, and the hair sold at armidi is the same EXACT thing just different styles. the hair at the abyss is well below the quality of losts work. So unless he rushed it and did a half assed job, its not his. But that scorpio skin is. My friend had one from Lost months ago to test run it or something, and its the exact same one released at the abyss.
And the abyss female skin I bought one and im certain its by amby.
