You were a bastard, full of death. Good riddance. (You know, just ONCE I’d like to be able to post a good year, but 2008 sucked and 2009 didn’t shape up to be any better, really.)
That being said, I thought we would round up the most memorable drama of the year. I sorted the year’s top posts at SCD (which ranks by number of hits) and the bits that really stuck in our heads. Without further ado – we list down to the number one drama of 2009!

10. SL6B Content Theft and PhotoLife - Taking associate’s photos and attempting to resell them is not good business.

8. Stolen content being sold out of inventory like a bad Rolex knockoff salesman.

6. Morphing, why it’s bad, and the fact that it’s just ugly as sin anyway.
5. RUNWAY SL, ganking people’s posts without allowing attribution and embezzling money – then running off without a word to anyone.

1. Huge Cache of Stolen Content – Content theft becomes a bigger problem than ever, and spurs many residents in Second Life to take action.
…and there was some drama that was pretty good, but not good enough to get into our top ten.

Kingdon will no doubt ban epeens in 2010. We’ll call it the year LL turned dickless.
Was that really all there was? All the drama just blurs into one drama buffet in my mind and I’m afraid I piece it all together into one big meal.
I always forget the details.
But it’s delicious usually, nonetheless.
Christ, i didn’t think i’d sorta be the catalyst for something that made it to #2 in the 2009 drama list… EEP!

Seriously though, it seems that in RL and SL 2009 was an utter cnut of a year, and I’m hoping 2010 fairs much better for all of us. I’d like to see Linden Labs focus on the issues that really affect grid residents this year, instead of navel-gazing…that said, I do think they’ve tried more than previous years to appear as though they are working towards the same goals as residents, even if that isn’t necessarily the case!
Oh bugger it- here’s to more drama in 2010..it’s consistently entertaining if nothing else! Happy New Year everyone!
