So, I decided for my third post back to do a regular old fashion post. So no mocking (this is a lie), no offensive images be they intended or not (this one is maybe a lie). Just clothes, new hair, and a new skin.
I’ve posted before on another blog that I’ve lately become a fan of LAQ male skins. I find them to be well made and I can tell them apart (Unlike some other major male skin maker out there.)
The jeans were a bonus buy. To me a bonus buy is when you’re going somewhere for something and find something else you want. So you go “Bonus!”. My friend and I were going to make a game out of this but after a bottle of Patron the rules mostly consisted of slapping each other in the face and insulting each others heritage. The glasses were the same thing actually. Well not really. Sometimes I like to wander through malls like Le Look and see what I can blow money on. Mostly because I like spending money and also because I have this irrational fear of being mugged by furries and goreans.
Exodi has new eyeballs. Yes, I call them eyeballs. They are cool and come in very realistic colors for the most part. I actually do not have a lot of eyeballs in my inventory. A) Having a lot of eyeballs in your inventory sounds a bit Ed Gein and B) I almost always wear sunglasses, even at night. So I can so I can survive.
I have grown to accept that as a male in Second Life, a giant amount of my clothing will consist of A) t-shirts B) jeans C) calling cards from e-strippers and D) prim wangs. That being said, you’d be surprised how hard it is to find a good t-shirt some days. I like this one I got from Calypso Giano though. A t-shirt so bad ass that even it comes with an 8 pack. Yeah that’s it.
So the new hair thing I mentioned earlier. LAQ makes it. And it’s got a ponytail. I like ponytails sometimes. But in Second Life the good male pony tail is a rare find indeed. Usually when you see them in SL they consist of one of two looks 1: I care about your feelings and would like to hear more 2: Hey, at your earliest convenience please make me cry by talking sternly to me.
So I have to tell you. There has been some negative opinions given to the LAQ male skins. I can kind of see it, and I can kind of not see it. The main complaint I have heard is that they are too shiny. I think it’s just a bit of photorealism mixed with some highlighting to simulate lighting or whatever. I don’t make skins (I mean fuck, I made a t-shirt once and the baby jesus wept). I also wish they had a body hair option. Not “Hey Bitches, Wookie is up in the house” type body hair but a “Hey, I’ve dinged and gained the puberty achievement” body hair.
So I have to tell you, in my posts you’re going to be seeing a lot of Garden of Ku tattoos. I am a complete fanboy over their ink and I am not ashamed to admit it. Also, it’s quality work without charging me an arm and a leg for it. There I said it. I feel better now. I kind of want to pull a Squidbillies and yell “CATHARSIS” while slapping somebody.

“You can hate on me all you want to, but what can you possibly say to somebody that looks like Rambo, pretty much, with his shirt off.”
