Deck Chairs and Potato Sacks

Shout out to my peeps in the Northern Hemisphere! It’s so freakin’ hot, my deck chair melted; and I was so inspired by this moment of weather-induced agony that I decided to let it drip all over my body.

Uhh… it may not sound right, but this dress from TWEE (named “Melted Deckchair”, of course) fit the heat of the day quite perfectly:

I choose to ignore the fact that I resemble a giant saltwater taffy and, instead, embrace the yummy, shiny textures of this dress. I love the colors, and feel so full of cheery-good-whatnot when I look at myself. But then again, fashion bloggers are a bit vain by nature, so that’s no surprise.

I went simple and only chose tights to accompany the dress. I don’t have to wear shoes all the time ;) . This was really comfy, and since it’s all pixels anyway, the bottoms of my feet didn’t get dirty. I love SL.

Thanks to VG Republic for the freebie tights. They’re staples in my inventory. The awesome hair is from BP*, and the best parts are the purple strands mixed in. The only downside is that the hair is no-mod. You’re given multiple head-size options, but even then I still need to adjust individual strands. Somebody convince BettiePage Voyager to give in to mod hair, please.

Recently, my friend Jerome claimed I would look elegant even if I wore nothing but a potato sack. He’s a sweetie, but I didn’t take him up on the idea… until now. The following TWEE dress is named “Potato Sack”, and because I couldn’t just wear one thing (sorry, Jerome), I decided to accessorize my “sack” a bit more.

I chose Punch Drunk‘s Glam Rock leggings, Gritty Kitty‘s “DaVinci Load” hair/hat combo (oh how I love it’s scripted color-change goodness!) and the brand new Maitreya Frenzy Bananna heels. I can’t get over how realistic Onyx LaShelle’s textures are. These heels alone have converted me to enjoying the look of a wood heel. Breathtaking.

TWEE is a very interesting shop, and completely new-to-me. It not only has way cute sculpted dresses, but also specializes in wheelchairs, walkers, and prefabs. All that’s left is to find a way for sculpty skirts like these to work in a wheelchair, and they’re off to the races!

I’m wearing other stuff, but don’t feel like listing it. Click the links in the post to TP.

ps a close up picture of the shoes in the second photo has made me decide to get them
they resemble so closely the featured carrie shoes from the sex and the city without being exact replicas that i am sqeeing with joy (dior’s extreme sandals)
i do still kinda want exact replicas since i wouldnt be able to dish out the $700 to buy them in rl and im def. a more t-shirt, jeans and sneaker girl off the grid lol
