Once upon a time, long long ago, I got banned eternally from Armidi. Â I admit freely that the ban for griefing was not a mistake or error on their part, and I complain about the ban frequently, but am I really missing anything? Â It’s doubtful. Â There’s plenty of other amazing creators out there that I can support that actually have a sense of humor. Â The hair I currently have on my head is one of the remnants of my overpriced Armidi wardrobe. Â I confess, I did some major blurring in photoshop to hide the glitching and seams in it before putting it here. Â Things in mirror are not as awesome as they appear and all that jazz.
Why did I get banned from Armidi, you ask? Â It’s quite simple, really. Â This is my fault. Â Click the image for the fullsized (512X512) snapshot. Â I ended up bouncing at the far corner of the sim for a good 15 minutes while I laughed so hard at my monitor I nearly peed my pants.
Oh well. Â The stuff I have on (besides the hair) is pretty damn awesome, wouldn’t you agree?
Especially the socks. Â Most definitely the damn socks.

I banned myself from Armidi. Can't wear the hair, it's way messed up, can't get customer service so I banned myself…
I remember getting one of those lights and I was entirely confused, having missed all the fun.
Even Tigerlily Koi joined in the fun that day– she managed to get unbanned after a little chat with one of the Armidi bigshots. I was unable to. Such is my life, heh. I don't give a fuck.

Yep, eternal banning. Armidi has not been on my shopping list now since August 18th of 2008.
OMG I so remember the facelight "scandal"….it was the funniest thing I'd seen! It became a huge deal on the grid, and somehow I even picked up a facelight that looked like stage lighting above my head as a freebie from somewhere! Classic laughs, thanks for posting this!
I just can't believe that Armidi would do something like that. Surely you must be mistaken, or it was an honest mistake on their behalf.

Oh I remember when this happened! I think a friend was at Armidi and joined in. I've been there once since the ban happened and you're not missing anything, Delora. Apart from the endless lag.
BTW, here's a handy hint for those as cheap or technically challenged as myself – a Facelight 3k rezzed and rotated in the air and a large flat black (or white) prim background makes charming free photo 'studio'.
Well Armidi hasn't really been on my list either, not since I had to bloody subscribe to ShopArmidi to buy a jacket that they, for some bleedin' reason, could not put in the store. And I spent the next couple of days trying to make all the prims on it work together.
I didn't look back not only because of this but also because everything there is so old and yet so expensive, true, there are many other and better designers around.
