Friday Focus Quick and Deadly: Tattoos and Textures.

Happy Friday!

Quick rundown on a few items in this outfit.  I belong to the LeLook update group, and had tp’d in after a notice another place, and randomly wandered over a few stores to stand and Rez. Believe me, with my horrid internet, in LeLook, it takes a while.

When the wall vendors cleared I was standing in front of The Garden of Ku for the first time. When I laid eyes on these tattoos, I was amazed.  The color and detail are very realistic, and very close to what I hope to end up with in rl if I ever get away from the computer again and make an appointment to get back into the Chair of Pain.

This set also comes with several white tanks and jeans in varying degrees of damage, and 2 versions of the tattoo are also included: medium and faded, and are on all layers.  This tattoo covers full body, down to mid thigh.  More view of the body of the tattoo in my post later today. It is ‘Sacred’ from Garden of Ku.

More pics and the rest of the outfit after the cut.

The top is ‘Flourish’ from Haven Designs, and the detail is fantastic.  The wrinkles and unique shape, together with the realistic shading around the outside edges make it one of my new favorites.  Take a close look at the shading where the top meets the skin.  I would love to see this effect in more tops as it adds another level of realism to the clothes.  Haven Designs specializes in very well done silks, camisks and more, and led me to pursue the topic of my next post, which will follow later today.

The pants are another unique style,Spork ‘Nova’ jeans, a wrinkled and cuffed black textured jean from Spork.  I love the capri length and the little ties at the sides of the legs.  If you haven’t been to Spork yet, I suggest a visit.  They have some really fantastic clothes.  The name alone is commendable, all the world needs for true happiness is a Spork.

Shoes are :: Pretties ::  by JB, a new release called “Risque” -  in Scarlet.  Even Raven commented on these shoes during the shoot (and he is a guy!).  There are a whack of fantastic colors available,  and you will be seeing them again in the next post.  (My favorite so far is ‘Deadly’, a wonderful shiny swirl of black and red, but these matched the top so well, ‘Deadly’ has to wait) -These are definitely a “fat-pack” necessity.

Tattoo, ‘Sacred’ from Garden of Ku.

Camisk/top,  ‘Flourish’ from Haven Designs

Pants, ‘Nova’ jeans from Spork  -Silver bangles on left wrist also by Spork.

Shoes, ‘Risque’ from :: Pretties ::  by JB

Hair, ‘Tess for hairbase skin, by LAQ

Bracelette, Rt wrist -Glam bangle (Red) by Creamshop

Stockings, Special Nylon Seamed  by INSOLENCE

Photography by Raven Haalan   ty again <3

Sorry for the delay in adding the slurls;  I blame Nexeus Fatale for this, his Thursday Night Dance Party at Rouge last night did not allow me to finish this up in advance.  :P

Cheers,  Isle.

oh la la very nice! I’ve never heard of most of these places — will have to pop over!

  2. Damn I thought the tattoo was a another layer of the shirt. I both of them together look great. :)

  3. Wow, I really like that top! Too cute.

  4. Skinkie says:

Those jeans look uncannily like a pair LeeZu Baxter released over a year ago which I love so much they are part of a “quick change” emergency outfit folder.

Love the camisk worn like that – great idea and one I may pinch ;-)

  5. Raven Haalan says:

Just a pet peeve – the new viewer broke multi-monitor photography, so this shoot was a bear.

That having been said, There wasn’t an element of this outfit I didn’t like. The top (esp the back) just blows me away, and the pants are funky, suit it perfectly.

I was impressed by the shoes too. Often you find wonky angles on shoes (relating to fit) when shooting them, but these were great at every angle.

first time I have ever seen a tatoo blogged that I wanted to buy – wtg

  7. Anastasia Trefusis says:

I can see that the quality and the detail are there and I like the top. But just don’t get the tatoo thing in rl or sl so I can’t say I like it.
Just not my style that’s all.

  8. Ryker Beck says:

YESSSSSSS I love that shirt. *humps*

  9. You made my shirt look SO pretty! Thank you! <3

  10. Isle Lunasea says:

LMAO @ Ryker ! Does this mean I have to change now? *looks down at poor shirt*

@Anastasia, tattoos are much more popular in SL than in RL, and believe me I am quite familiar with all kinds of different attitudes and opinions on them, being one of the rarer people in SL that actually has a considerable amount of ink in RL.

To each their own. If I could, I’d be humping my own arms in that pic. ;)

  11. Isle Lunasea says:

/me does the bananadance @ Delora :) I love the shirt. It was easy to make it look good. Glad you liked and ty for commenting.

  12. Go ahead and blame me! Kick ass parties > Blog Posting. That and you looked hot in that outfit (Raven please don’t kill me!)

  13. Elaine Lisle says:

Great ensemble – although I wouldn’t have added the stockings. It may just be a weather thing, though :-p

  14. Isle Lunasea says:

I wondered about the stockings, they are a bit dark. It was a sort of hmmm… I must have tried on 12 pairs. Ended up a toss up thing, but you may be right. In fact, I am sure you are.

I blame the weather!! (ty for the out heh)

  15. Beulah says:

I agree I have never liked Tatoos in Rl or SL but this I will go take a look at – its intersets me, maybe I am in a mood for something very different than I have ever had

  16. I agree, the shirt rox…and thanks for the nice mention on the jeans ;)

  17. Автор явно умеет привлечь посетителей на сайт). Пишет очень понятно и интересно. Огромное человеческое спасибо
