Fantasy Fun with Delora!

Delora’s (out of) the Closet – Week five

Tenshi got mad at me for my photo quality the last couple of weeks.  I hate to say it, but my video card is starting to go, and I get unreliable results from snapshots at times.  Thankfully, this week, my images turned out slightly better, so here we go.

I spent a whole hour of my time today picking out an outfit to go over the top fantasy without losing any of my personal style.  That’s what fashionistas do, I’ve been told.  Oh wait, maybe not.  Most of them are sheep.  I’m only a sheep on days that end with “Y.”  If you have some grasp of the English language, then you understand what I mean.  If you don’t have any idea what I just meant, go visit the Gossip Girl sims before they’re gone forever!  I hear they ban love non-english speakers over there!

But I digress.

I felt a little dirty last week, using a pale skin for my article.  I love Tuli’s skins, but she doesn’t make them in my normal skintone.  It’s sad, really.  (Tuli… hint hint. HINT HINT.)

Once again, I digress.

Let’s take a trip to the world of fantasy!  I got this floaty white gown, some fancy diamond jewelry, and a black skin from Fallen Gods that could double as a not-Everquest-style dark elf, though it’s officially considered to be an ‘elemental’ skin.

I found a nice natural setting by stepping out of my skybox and plummeting the few thousand meters to the ground.  I was a flying drow/elemental/fantasy creature for… a few moments at least!  I don’t get out much; in fact, I’d forgotten I had landscaping down there.  So I took some photos for you!  I wish I still had time to roleplay, I almost miss wasting my time standing in one place creating drama that isn’t important enough to rate plurking.  (By the way folks, I’m Delora on plurk if you wanna add me.)

The dress-up part is one of the best parts.  The worst part is when some idiot comes in with giant mario bros. particle poofers and ruins the fun.  Don’t get any ideas folks, that’s mean and will get you loved on by me banned.

lol. Photos rockin this time, and love the obsidian skin. I have to say I love that whole look – but the contrast with the whites, and then the blue backgrounds… well, it’s just yummy.

The jewelry grabbed me too. Nice post!

  4. Please! The photos here are always top notch.

I only sleep at night by telling myself you have much better filters than me and it’s not talent.

That doesn’t explain my lost hours in Photoshop, but I needs to sleep.

  5. Hey Adric? Whatcha talkin about, filters? You tellin me I don’t have to do all this crap by hand?

  6. The filter thing is still a theory.

I asked a blog once what filter they used and it was like I asked them to go down on me. I even promised to stay out of the fashion world.

I take comfort in meta data that shows me I am not the only Adobe CS3 user : ) Just the only one who can’t get filters down. Xero hates me.

Delora some people use PS Filters to touch up their photos. You don’t need to at all – looks like you use windlight settings in your photos, which is what I prefer. The shots are lovely.
