Finally I have something that is new and thus reviewable! Sadly I have now spent all my money on skin so I can’t afford to buy anything for the next year. It is the Alaysia skin from Skin Within.
I have had many troubles re: skin and being fashionable. I have been loyal to Sakura from Sin Skins for at least a year, because there are not that many Asian skins in the game and most of them don’t look enough like my face for me not to get freaked out and go “OH MY GOD WHO IS THAT?” when I see my pixel-face. This skin is apparently Chinese, and as far as my knowledge goes it is hybrid. So I now look a lot more photorealistic than I used to, but not enough to give me the horrifying fear of the Uncanny Valley.
I have controversially opted not to show my pixel-boobies or my pixel-punani. But I feel you can see enough to decide whether you want to spend an entire L on the demo. Look at how real my belly button looks! It marks the spot where I was birthed from Philip Linden, as were we all. I am wearing underwear from artilleri, because I don’t own much SL underwear because I don’t take my clothes off much.
Here is my new face. I think I look slightly like Posh Spice, but my wife Miriam says I don’t. She has however been banned from SL today, so what would she know? Maybe that’s why she got banned.
The skins are 1200L each or 3600 for a “fat pack” of six. You get it with and without pubes, and you get eyes and a shape and some nail varnish on a glove layer.
Anyway, I am terribly excited about new skin and feel it ushers in a new era of vanity for me. It almost makes up for being a Second Life widow. No offence, wife, but it is a nice skin.

You pull off the skin ,well, though. I also enjoy the Skin Within line, from what few skins I have. As you’ve said, it’s a bit more photo-realistic without being frightening. I own some IC-Skins, but they scare me. o_o;

lol Beo. Maybe, but maybe Chav is like me and just doesn’t like to show her av naked. I know I don’t. I’m not a diva, nor prude, but yes, I am boring. (sadly)

Or, or, or maybe it’s a conspiracy for SCD to get more comments and traffic as a reverse sex-sells movement, perpetuated by anonymous assumptions that spiral all the way to some major SL business profiting scheme, which also involves copy-botted socks and blackmailed janitorial Lindens.
Or Chav just doesn’t want to show the bits that are usually covered by clothes, anyways.
Just because someone uses birth control or carries around condoms doesn’t make them a slut or whore, not baring it all doesn’t make someone an old maid. If people are interested in the skin, but the quality of the bits make or break things, then I would hope they would try on a demo, rather than placing all the responsibility on bloggers.
if anyone has any other places to get a real “Asian” skin tone please feel free to IM me with store names. Like Chav I’ve been wearing Sin Skins but she retired my preferred shade and theres only 6 makeups anyway. most light skintones are too “pink” and not enough “yellow” or they go right to “orange”.
I tried these but they made me look about 20 years older and I didn’t like that. I’ve been trying every skin I’ve heard about and have yet to find one I like as well as the poor dear retired Bisque from Sin Skins. plz halp, kthx.

A quick clarification —> The skin comes with the free eyes and shapes (both body and eyebrow) you have mentioned, but no manicure is included with the package. These need to be purchased separately.
