Yesterday, Tricky Boucher released his Belle skins to the delight of ravenous fashionistas across the grid. I hear that, in the fight to reach the doors at Belleza, two of our most beloved fashion-plates were trampled. Don’t worry, though, they were still OK to shop and are in stable condition, changing skins every 30 seconds.
I know you’ve probably seen these skins all over the blogs, but the skin tone I got, Pale, didn’t seem to receive much coverage. In any case, I want to show off my pretty new skins, so let’s get started.
One of the best things about the Belle line are the faces. They blend photorealism with a sexy, hand-drawn softness and shine. I love that there are about 1001 makeups offered. I used the four above to give you a general idea of the range, but there are so many variations. My favorite lips are the Bronzed lips, and my favorite eyes are the cat-eye makeups from the Meow variations. There are so many other colors and lots of fun, different makeups like the Lace and Swirl variations that use abstact shapes on the eyes. Also, Tricky does red lips very well. It’s hard to find a good, shiny red gloss that doesn’t scream ‘hooker’ these days, and Belleza has made a very classy red.
These skins feature a well-muscled body, delicate features, perfect collarbones–and one of my favorite things ever: minor flaws. That’s right, folks!
See that mole by the belly-button? Love it. It’s so sexy when a skin has character.
The freckles continue onto the back, too, and dance over those gorgeous shoulder-blades.
Another thing I don’t see enough of are hipbones. I have hipbones, why doesn’t my avatar? Also, great knees and perfect, perfect toes.
I’ve been searching for something to critisize so it doesn’t seem like I’m just fauning here. I looked and looked and couldn’t find anything I wasn’t happy with. OK, maybe one thing…the fingernails are a little white. That’s all, that’s really all I can find.

Pretty, but they don’t look all that pale to me. *sighs*
they look great on you, Iris!
I LOVE this skin. Got the mega fatpack, which btw is a AWESOME deal. 8600L$ (I think) for 32 skins? Hell yeeaaah! I got the pale skintone, and I agree with Ann, they could have been a liiittle more pale, but I’m still extremely happy with these. If this was a perfect would they would come with different brow options and freckles, but the brows do have sort of a browning/blackish/grayish tone to them so they work with my red hair anyway. I pray and hope for more makeups, I will def be first in line for them!
I love these skins as well, except for the mega dark eyebrows. I was quite disappointed with that as I wear more whites/silvers/and blonde hair. It looks great with my black hair but I really think they could have had at least a light and dark brow option in the sets or lightened the existing brows to a more happy medium.
I also wish the tan was a bit darker or moddable to darken a bit like other skinmakers do. I bought 1 complete set as I liked the fact I could get a good bit of skins for less than the cost of 3 separate skins. Pricing and makeup great, eyebrows not so much.
I went to Belleza because of this post; I’d never heard of it before. This skin looks lovely, and I hoped they’d have a version in my shade. Yet again, no options for us black and/or brown people. Whatever. There was a kiosk there explaining how to set the environment to make the skin look nicer, so at least it wasn’t a complete waste of my time.
::: In the interest of full disclosure, I do handle PR and Marketing for Belleza and I am very happy that you all loved the skins :::
To address some of the comments:
@ann – We get very mixed reviews on the Pale skintone. Some agree with you and say that it isn’t pale enough while others comment quite frequently that they like the fact that it doesn’t feel too pasty to them. I think in the new year Tricky will develop an additional pale skintone.
@sighs – I have seen the beta version for Tricky’s female dark skintone and it blew me away! He’s a perfectionist so I doubt we will see it before January but hold on just a bit longer.. it’s coming and I think you will find it worth the wait. He is also working on a male skintone that is darker.
Oh, thanks Belle…I just prefer something along the lines of Gala’s Opaline or Starley’s Pure, which are fair and lovely, but decidedly not pasty. The pale here looks more like ‘peachy’ to me.
They seem pretty middle of the road to me, nothing that you can’t get at twenty other places. And I’m tired of Mr. Potato Head noses.
