Finding men’s fashion is a monumental task. Finding GOOD men’s fashion is proving even harder. Navigating my way out of Aitui without draining my wallet and breaking my back from buying their goods proved almost impossible.
Aitui spans practically a whole sim to itself and its vendors, with an extensive range of items such as skins, tatoos, and mens and women’s wear. On this trip, I decided to focus only on the Men’s wear, and took a nice sample of clothing, choosing to snag a t-shirt, a hoodie, and a full-blown suit. But are they any good? Just follow the jump and you’ll find out!

For example take my personal favorite out of the three, the hooded sweatshirt. This is one of the most superbly-textured shirts I have seen on Second Life. It comes in a jacket layer as well as two hoods, a small one and a large one. Both of which fit well, though needed only slight adjustments to be perfect. The design is a traditional zip-up, though in my opinion, off-center oversized designs are becoming a bit cliche.

They also offer a fair share of shirts as well. This one I picked out is a nice striped thermal design, which comes with a separate glove layer for those who prefer an extra-long sleeve look. The stripes of this shirt are extremely well-aligned, and is also tin table for those who are into that sort of thing. However, I’m not quite comfortable on how large the collar is, something unusual for male clothing.

The suit and slacks I ended up purchasing separately. The slacks are your basic no-nonsense affair, a little skinnier than I normally like, but that’s why they are dress slacks. The jacket comes in a variety of options once you purchase it, with optional undershirts, a flexi tie, and a jacket poofer for those who likes their jackets to have a looser look to them. Overall, the look proves to be quite nice, if a little too sloppy for use at SL weddings and other super-formal grid usage. And as an aside, that blue is probably the best blue I have ever seen in grid. Also, the tie that is added in to the package seems to be randomly tossed in, as there is already a tie burned into the undershirt of the jacket. I’d use it only if you have your own undershirt you like to use.
Overall, Aitui should be a must-visit sim for shoppers of any genre. They do not use camping chairs nor camping bots, the selection is huge, and there is plenty of room for those whom like to shop in groups. Check it out over at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Aitui/202/204/23
P.S. I know I use a freebie skin, but I want the focus of my review to be on my clothing rather than the skin and hair my avatar wears. Would you rather me use the avatar I usually wear on my avatar, a nice Anthro Luskwood Rat?

Wearing a nice skin and hair doesn’t detract from good fashion, it emphasizes it.
Thank you Talon for posting this! Having somewhere to suggest shopping to/with the bf is always a help, the suit and slacks pairing I like.
Good point, Candy Lemmon, though I admit, I am clueless on the skin world other than its drama and sometimes insane prices. That, and not everyone buys skins, but everyone buys clothes.
Thanks for the post, Talon! I kinda want to make a boy av so I can dress him up now.
