Oh, look what popped up again.

Yup, the Sarabi hair. “Retextured“. Isn’t that hair, at this point, considered freebie reselling and a big no-no?

“They are 150L each or grab a discounted 4-pak for 450L
[...]and the hair available in the Hair Salon area at Main Store.”
You too can own this overdrawn freebie hair for only $150L a piece! Own a piece of SL History by purchasing outdated hair at regular ETD hair prices!

I looked at those hairs for a long while trying to figure out where I had seen them before.
Amber Strands on the bottom actually looks like a replica of an old Lash Xevious hair as well, but since they arent around anymore, I can’t check.
I have a question, and I am not being bitchy, I honestly want to know…
If you use someone elses’ prims and a totally different person’s textures… did you really “make” the product?
No. That’s the only answer. No, you did not make the product. MAKING a product requires full on prim twisting and texturing.
I think the Lash one you’re thinking of, Sofia, is Helena. She had one available for free in white, which I had picked up, so I checked it. It has flowers tied around a bun, but the prims are completely different, and all of the front pieces are styled very differently. I can see where you’d pick up a resemblance, but I think they both just based the hair on a Greek (or was it Roman? I always did get my ancient cultures mixed up) style.
BURRRNNNNN! Dude, the girl knows how to work with prims (along with knowing how to take skins from other people and taking bits of each to make her own….wait did I say that? no i didn’t!) so make some new hair, jeebus!
Sorry, but this is completely legit.
People can purchase prim skirt templates and the like, and texture them how they wish. Is that wrong too?
If I loved the hair, but wanted it in a different color, I’d be willing to pay for it.
You’re reaching here for something that really isn’t that big of a deal.
Templates are different; they show grids
You’re making a big deal out of nothing and being an a$$hole about it. Good job.
Hello. This is Sarabi. Yes, THE Sarabi
Gasp.
Anyway, there has been alot of drama going on with me, my old hair and my old whatevers on here and Brutally Honest or whatever the heck is called, and since everyone on BH follows Tenshis posts, and this blog had something about my hair, i am gonna post a long ass message about everything right here. I hope you enjoy.
First of all, anyone who sells one of those hairs i made nowdays, is a freaking dumbass. They were not SUPPOSED to be freebies, but that is what they became. And quite frankly, if you have not noticed.. they are SERIOUSLY UGLY. LOL. I made them about a year, a year and a half ago, i was starting out, stuff like that. When i sold them i obviously liked them, my own creations as they were, but now, so much later with all the skill i have gathered, i can without a problem infact tell anyone that those are absolutely hideous.
Also you should never ever sell ANY items that you have gained from a biab, no matter how good it looks or how “limited” it is or ANYTHING. Someone will ALWAYS whine about it, claim that your a thief and stole it from somewhere, you will get a bad reputation, the OTHER owners of the limited edition items will bitch at you for selling the items too cheap.. bla bla bla.
Now keep in mind i am saying this NOW, one year after my entire biab ordeal. I did not think like this earlier, because i was one of the first biab sellers in the entire SL. However i also want to adress the fact that i was not the FIRST, as some rabid girls on SL has been claiming me to be, and that i supposedly started the entire trend that has now “ruined SL”
1. As i was one of the first, i had no idea that selling it to just a few people would make it rampant as a freebie. You may call me naive and stupid, and i completely agree with you now thinking about it afterwards. But as being one of the first biab sellers, nothing like this had indeed happened before. And with the same logic, could you also not claim it was naive of the people who originally bought my hair for full price to buy it, full well knowing it was not a exlusive deal? (And if anyone wants to claim otherwise, you can ask the hundreds of people on Fashion Consolidated who saw my original notice about it, check the Savoir Hair blog or ask me for the IM history of the conversations between me and the people i sold my hair to as proof that every single one of them knew the deal was not exlusive, even if some retards have lately claimed otherwise) You know how many i sold the hairs to? 5 people. FIVE. And you know what else is scary? They were all established, trustable business owners. Yet one of them decided to start the whole “selling the biab forward cheaper untill it becomes a freebie” thing. So as you can imadgine, over the year i have had quite the time pondering which one of the buyers was infact a scamming bastard.
2. This thing has not destroyed any goddamn thing in SL. The people who sell biab’s nowdays are assholes, everyone knows that, and will avoid them. Items sold as biabs look like crap, nobody wants to buy them. Now this means people who actually make GOOD, ORIGINAL content will get more customers from those that are fed up with the same items seen all over the places. Also, this whole biab things have given newbies all over SL a huge collection of items to slightly spice up their default look with. So don’t blaim someone else if your original items and creations don’s sell, that simply means that they suck.
3. Contrary to popular belief, i never lied when i said i had money problems irl. And yes, money problems can happen more than once. After that biab ordeal people seem to get mad at everything i do, including having a sale in my store. Apparently a sale = ripping people off trying to get rich in SL. Well,i kinda fail to see how cheaper items = more money? Gawd.. if i had more money,i would buy some people a brain!
However, if any of you care, i have gotten OVER my money problems nowdays. My home is secure, i have a job, and life is smiling. This means i wont HAVE to sell my items as a biab (not like i ever again WOULD either, jeez), and i wont have to close down any stores unless i want to. No longer do i make OR sell any biabs, however if i want to create my own items to sell nowmally, in a store, NOBODY has the right to complain about that. My new items are not biab’s, they are not freebies, and they have NOTHING to do with my old items or what i have done in the past. And if i want to keep a shop, just because i once sold a bunch of my items in the past does NOT mean i can not keep a freaking shop.
And as to Shopping Cart Disco and Tenshi, i know this post wasnt about me, so i am not raving at you, please dont think so.
I am raving at people who do not have a brain, and im trying to tell people to NEVER GET INVOLVED WITH BIAB’s, IN ANY WAY!
Also, if you do not believe this was me posting the message, you can IM me, Sarabi McMahon anytime. However if you have any spiteful comments, that means from this moment onwards you will get a mute mute + ban from all parcels i own, now and in the future. No exeptions.
PS. I am not this mean in general, quite the contrary, i try to be nice and helpful. Some people just make it so difficult.
Thank you, and have a nice day.
Oh, and two more comments.
I did not try to be mean against Amber, i realized after my post it might seem like that. I just try to warn people about not using BIAB’s. It will ruin your business. Trust me, i know.
And secondly, if someone plans to stard drama on this blog post with me, you can forget it, i will not reply to such as much as i will not read any messages inworld.
If you wanna be mad and rabid, go ahead and do it by yourself, i do not want to deal with or do business with such low lifes anyway.
What in the … Sarabi, you STARTED and CONTINUED selling BIAB’s continually after you shut down your first two shops. No, those hairs weren’t meant to be freebies in the first place – not until you sold ten copies of your first shop and they began running rampant on the grid. Sure, I can see why you’d say they’re now supposed to be freebies.
No one was starting drama with you, but you’re sure coming on to state that. Thanks!
The biab’s i sold after the first one were all exclusive. Meaning the person who got them was the only one to get them. However people could also realize i dont sell biab’s ANYMORE and this happened almost a YEAR ago.
And there has been drama, about my hairs in general on a few blogs and stuff. I just found this to be a good place to sum up all my thoughts. Obviously i might have been wrong.
Personally i find the past the past, and i know i will myself have nothing to do with biab’s in no way, shape or form ever again, other then teaching people how fucked up and stupid biab’s are.
So yeah,i did mistakes. A lot. But i did not want that to be the main focus of my post. I just want people to stop selling biab’s. Everyone who now sells my hair is seen as selling freebies, and it will ruin their business. So it’s not a good business move.
exclusive! That’s why they’re all over the grid… but you’re right. Items sold in BIAB’s are usually pretty crummy.
Hope your new shop is doing well.
