Hello you lovely SCD fans! Notice that I decided on a title for my lil spot here
(Thank you Isle Lunasea for the “Mashup” suggestion!!!!) As I said last week, I’ve moved to Saturdays! Woot! The most fun day of the week! hehe
This week proved a lil hard for me coming up with a good mashup. I wanted sleek, simple and sophisticated… and pink! Needless today, there’s not a drop of pink in this! I’ll have to rummage through my closest to put together something chic and pink… the urge is still there!
Ok so, its not very flashy… but, does sexy really need to be? I love this outfit so much. It give the most feminine silhouette, accentuating every girlie curve. Ladies, and we all know a strapless number begs for a short coif!! Mimikri offers these lovely lacey strapless tops, that have become staples in my wardrobe. I’ve added a cute sequined belt to glitz up the look… *leans in* This is a really REALLY good way to use the tops of pencil skirts…. The squined bit is from a silver pencil skirt, also by Mimikri! Can you say, faux belt? hehe
Black is a HUGE staple in my virtual closest… I swear everything I wear, there is something black. I really have to explore color more! hehe I like little punches of color… reds, purples… things that black can really make pop! What goes better with a sleek retro pencil skirt than red velvet pumps from Maitreya? To top the look off, there are delicate additions of diamonds. Oooo the girls best friend! From the ruby and diamond drop earrings (Yes, I know… hiding in a mountain of curls!) to the ruby and diamond cocktail ring.. and then the diamond “tears” cascading down the cheek. I’ve been in the mood for a little.. va va va voooom! *smiles*
Giving credit where its due…..!

Elegant. You can never argue with a sharp black dress, and the midi length is sweet.
Love how how your lipstick matches the shoes. Superb touch.
I was gonna say the lips and shoes thing too. Great use of the sequined belt bit, and just LOVE the hair with the outfit. The top is gorgeous, will have to go check them out. I have quite a few really good staples from Mimikri. Quality rocks.
Nice job, great look
Mimikri is a good place to shop at and I am glad to have been a member of her group for the past year and a half. Her blog is pretty nice to follow as well.
