CSR Stamp Rally: No, it’s not that confusing, you just don’t speak Japanese.

Iris and I finally got over our fear of the CSR Stamp Rally and went. I had cards hanging all over me by the time I was done shopping; Iris said I looked like I was bitch slapped by an election. I told her it was only HCD (Hanging Chad Disease).

Anywho! We picked up a lot of cool stuff, once we figured it out. When you’re purchasing from participating stores (list here, at Edelwiss blog) you will get one card for the CSR if you buy from QUALIFYING vendors (make sure to check the contents of the vendor before you buy! Some aren’t marked properly!).

The easiest way to get all the stamps is to do it all at once – I was wearing about six cards while Iris and I were going around. Then you click their little CSR Stamp Kiosks, and wait for a stamp validation – usually takes about 10 seconds. Easy peasy!

Here’s some shots of the freebies we got when we redeemed our CSR cards.

This perfect “Hay I’m part of the Communist Army” suit comes from a shop called Black Knight. It has amazing detail to it.

…and a bunch of options. It’s extremely hand drawn (note the collar on the shirt) but versitaile. I personally like to wear it without that added skirt detail.

Iris picked up this sweet little number from Edelweiss. She lives in a princess house, she’s buying pink dresses… I think I might have to kill her.

What Iris really wanted to show you guys was the detail on the stockings. If any of you have tried to get minute details on an avatar texture before, you will know how god forsaking frustrating it can be. Well, Edelweiss got it!

I also picked up these boots, which are pretty awesome – they even curve up in the front! They’re from Zero Number in Koenji. What’s with the Japanese creators including the number “zero” in their names? Zero Style, Zero Number… maybe they’ve figured out how to hack the new search. Most boots are in the $400L range, which isn’t bad at all – about the same price as Shiny Things.

Now THIS… THIS is my “Grab of the Evening”. Most full avatars run $600L or more, but this was FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!

The detail is sickeningly amazing. If Mamesando isn’t your shop of choice for Japanese Anime avatars, make it! This is a full avatar – skin, shape, eyes… everything.

Of course, it wasn’t long before I began ripping it down into something I could wear daily. About three minutes, to be exact.

Hair: Wish by Cake in Pecan

Skin: Another Shop, (Re) Brow 1 in Lust with Black Brow underneath.

Jeans: Armidi in Black.

Everything else? Yeah, it’s from the avatar kit. I even kept the eyes in… it makes me look like an amazing drug addict alien. Check out my in-world profile when you get time. :)
