Thanks to the new added layer coming to the avatars with the SL 2.0 Beta release, Cheap Makeup creator Stella Semaphore has begun releasing makeups designed to go over skins. No more need to buy a skin with a dozen makeup options, unless that’s specifically what you want. Those of us who enjoy adventurous makeup (but may be too adventurous for any skin creators to spend time on or release to the major market) can now have it optionally by other creators.
Now, obviously this won’t always work. I can’t imagine a lipstick on one of these layers that actually matches up to a particular skin’s lip area seamlessly. Eyeshadow and other facial makeup, however, will probably work fine. On her vendors, Stella specifies which skins she used with the eyeshadows.

I don’t care if 2.0 has neat features like this. With its train wreck of an interface and security risks I’m not touching the awful thing till all that is fixed. Hopefully, at the least, we start seeing 3rd party viewers adding the features in such a way as to not introduce security and privacy risks to their viewers.
Forget 2.0, I’m waiting till someone does it better.

I have a couple of Free makep options which are just lips in my store (e! Eclectic Apparel and Accessories) While they dont work with every skin they do work with the vast majority.
If the lip shape is farily neutral on the skin and the makeup they should match up fairly nicely

How long have I been asking for this feature?!?!!!?!?
(now if only my computer was decent enough to like, run SL 2.0… my type of Mac isn’t supported. Oh well.)
Of course theres a huge market that does like over made up lips and too much lipstick.
Why do I have a feeling that we’ll see even more Sims 2 stuff getting sold on the grid, since it already comes in handy as lips and eyebrow layers?
