Set off of Koreshan, Jabberwocky is a very Alice-In-Wonderland type sim with a few shops scattered about.

Travel Thursdays are brought to you by Second Blogger, a service created and run by FlipperPA Peregrine. Signing up is a snap, and starting to blog is as easy as sending a postcard from within Second Life!
Visit Jabberwocky.
Sorry, the pics suck I know – I’m on my laptop. Give me a break!

How is this Alice in Wonderland? This is more Dali. Particularly his piece “Metamorphosis of A Narcissus ”
Check out the Link if you’ve never seen what I am comparing this to: http://www.fotos.org/galeria/data/520/3Salvador-Dali-Metamorphosis-of-Narcissus.jpg
Good god, I would HOPE people know who Dali is.
I said Alice in Wonderland because I believed it fit, but thanks for your input.
Oh I like..
*waves to everyone* I am on vacation, hence my absence but I still TRY to keep up with the reading ;D

How is this Alice in Wonderland?
i’m thinking the fact that it’s called jabberwocky kinda helps.
I have to say, it doesn’t really scream Dali to me. And the intention is obviously Lewis Carroll.
The Metamorphosis of Narcissus does have a chessboard in it though… but a stretch for me, in the painting the other Gods and Goddesses are cavorting on the chessboard while Narcissus gazes at his reflection and turns to stone.
Also, should you chance to visit underground, it gets a bit more Alice-y. So long as you’re familiar with the books more than the Disney movie, and can interpret things…
All Dali points are valid, true. However I’ve been trying to capture this place to blog it myself lately and if you explore the sim its very Wonderland-y. Like Nivaya said, its much more the books interpretation than campy Disney movieness. Which…. I’m in love with! I can’t wait for it to be finished and think this is a great sim to point out. Definitely worth exploring!
Above ground is Through the Looking Glass (the entire story of which is a chess game, as Alice travels across squares to the other side of the board to be queened), below is the first book. It is an interpretation instead of a direct recreation, of course.
I know Surrealia very well (the owner of Jabberwocky), and I can tell you for sure it’s Lewis Carroll inspired, not Dali-esque.
She is not a fan of the Disney, but she’s very much into the books. Here’s some links to some Sims machinima videos she’s done with the Alice series:
