However, i honestly haven’t been given anything but a warm welcome from the people at Seven.
Of course, just like any other club there are people who will converse with you and people who are quiet. doesn’t prevent me from trying it out and getting the chance to meet the ones who will.

I am not sure where you see Seven boasting the attitudes you described, but I am not here to argue with you about that, whether you like Seven or not everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect that, most of all I am pretty sure I have no interest in what disgusts you.

First off, Seven was named after Colleen’s SON. So, sorry to burst your bubble there farella, but hes a lot older than your avi & you don’t get to take credit for him either. That’s all I have to say to you

As far as reading secrets each week and constantly seeing posts about Seven, all I need to say is get over it already? SUL has proven to be a nice place to hang, controlled spamming, great music, and the only ppl that walk in their with snubbed noses are those that have previously bashed the place. I don’t think anyone needs to sit here and defend the lounge anymore, it’s defended itself.

And Seven Farella…I think they named it Seven because there are seven people involved in the project…but way to be a self-centered C-word! Aren’t you banned? Lemme fix that for you.

Since its launch, there’s been a lot of bad talk about the place, on a lot of different levels. The crowd that goes, the “type of people” that hang out there, the fact that you have to pay to get in, etc etc… I kind of feel like, if you’ve never gone to Seven, and you don’t know a lot of content creators/models/well known folk in SL, that basing the experience you MIGHT have on the alleged snobbery of “SL’s Elite,” is kind of judgmental and really unwarranted.

Sure, there’s a chunk of folks that let their heads get too big, consider themselves rather high and mighty, have holier-than-thou attitudes, and would sooner tell you to piss off than give you the time of day… but those people are pretty few and far between amongst the creators and “well knowns” that I’ve met in my time on the Grid. Many content creators I know are pretty hermit-y and rather enjoy keeping to themselves. And when they do find the time to come out of their shells, they are always a pleasure to be around… because they are actually some of the wittiest and most fun people I’ve met.

The same goes for models or well known DJs or anyone in the SL fashion industry that I’ve ever encountered… While I have, of course, met the odd, “Do you know who I AM?” people, I’ve also found that most of them are actually quite friendly, talkative, and willing to hold a conversation with you.

The stigma that “SL’s elite” get is a pretty harsh one, and rather unjustified. While every society has its unpleasant, bigoted people, there is no reason to think that a few bad apples will spoil the whole bushel.

If you’ve never gone to Seven, and your primary reason of not going is because you don’t know anyone, or you’re afraid that people just will not talk to you because you’re not “ubercool”… go. At the end of the day, we’re all just people. We all crave interaction. Honestly — what is the worst that could happen? And is the worst worth risking the best?

Why do we buy clothes and hair in sl, why do so many people wish they had their sl wardrobes? Why bother to recreate real life builds in sl. It is no different than going to a swanky hang out? I am pretty sure absolutely no one gets dressed up to play sl.

Everyone has a right to make sl their own. You don’t like to hang out with “ubercool” people so be it. No one is pointing at you saying “aww that must be the kid who was laughed at in high school” Just leave people to have and make their own fantasies in sl. Even if they go to bed alone at least they had some joy for a couple hours a day in sl.

Again nothing wrong with being a waffle house waitress, its a job, but pretending to be some high maintance ass in sl, while you the total opposite in rl, and have the attitude of a gutter bitch… think about it. Revamp yourself and keep yourself real in a virtual reality.
Makes sense?! Maybe not to much, but I just find a horde mass behaviour to be with the IN crowd pathetic.

If Stalin was used, I doubt it would receive as much attention, even though he did similarly horrible acts. America just happened to work with the SSR during WWII to fight Hitler, so all the primary educational system shows is the dirt on Nazi Germany. At least, that was my experience.

In regards to anorexia, there are people out there that starve themselves to the point where they can be physically compared to Holocaust prisoners. I think I may have seem some webpages idolizing those images.

So again, it’s not ok to use a deranged, vegetarian painter-dictator in any non-tragedy, but it’s ok to make fun of someone who’s paraplegic and whacking at themselves with a hatchet to try and make themselves a quadriplegic?

It’s unfortunate that classes like psychology are not regularly part of primary school curricula or are taught inadequately. House and ER certainly don’t appear to be showing the correct picture.

Most of the time people have wysiwyg editors that ad inline styles to images, but sometimes they don’t. This would just stop the layout from being overblown.

You’re right Tivo, Seven isn’t the problem. The problem is people projecting the way they feel about themselves onto Seven. So what if people go there and think they are cool, what is wrong with feeling good about yourself. Bottom line is if you don’t feel good about yourself, no one is able to feel it for you. Instead of worrying about freaking avatars in a fake club, worry about interacting face to face with people in real life.

All that being said, Seven is nice place to hang out. You can talk if you want, dance if you want or just shut up and listen to the music. Why is everyone making a big fuss about the place, Everyone of you have complained about clubs in sl, and so someone creates one and all you ever do is bitch about who goes there. No one is calling themselves elite there, look at who is describing the people who attend events there, yes the very ones who has never set foot in there.

Its a club made of pixels people.

This “secret” is so stupid. The only sickness here, is jealousy.

However, you can’t expect all to like your work. That’s just impossible. For those, the big pictures will be irritating and make them grind their teeth while they scroll over.

So yes… Make a cut and show only 1 pic. And post a smaller size on feed.

indie clubs usually suck in that way too, where they are mostly all snobby and stick to themselves..
thank god for alt7 though.. one of the only places i can hang without feeling like an outcast.
