And oh I know about this time frame because from approximately 1973-1977 my mother worked directly with refugees from both Vietnam and Cambodia – teaching them english and American life skills. Often times the children would come to my home to play and even though we didn’t speak the same language we still learned to interact with each other. It was a lovely experience for me.

#3 depicted images in Cambodia known at the time as Kampuchea during the communist reign of Pol Pot when millions were killed in camps. I suggest everyone should watch The Killing Fields the academy award winning movie about an American Journalist and a Cambodian Physician he worked with who failed to escape before the fall of Phnom Penh (the capital at the time). The issues that occurred in Cambodia were a direct result of the Vietnam war.

I would also like to thank Tenshi for pulling #3.

Horrifying things happen to people around the globe all the time. This is no reason to shut down what you are doing now. Live your life as best as you can, act locally, and think globally.

If in your capitalistic way you can make more than you need, and can put some of that to help someone else great. If you can do better than that and can create real change, amazing!

NEVER let short sighted people cut down what you do day to day because there are “bigger” problems out there. The Internet and all of its spawn are the biggest tool for change since the book. Ask anyone fighting the good fight in Iran or any other suppressed country. Hell even that horrible picture used in #3 to do no good other than make us all feel bad came to us via the Internet.

I don’t think the people submitting the secrets are removing them. I think the people *targeted* in the secrets are requesting their removal.

I hate coming back to SCD and seeing half the friggin page gone. This is why I stayed up this morning to see them before they were inevitably taken down, and now that they’re gone I don’t remember half of them.

Hey just a FYI the removed #1 is still viewable from the main SCD page.

I’m seeing this #3 BS more and more in a lot of groups in and out of SL. We are all bad people for not throwing our computers out the window and curing all the worlds “real” problems. Ya your ugly photoshop work really made the world a better place. Yawn.
