This all started when my friend the darling ducky Ravenelle Zugzwang suggested I try a trial of a game called
Plants versus Zombies.
In order for me to like a computer/video game it has to have a “cute” factor, and Plants Vs. Zombies has this in spades. The premise is simple. You set plants to kill zombies before zombies eat your plants. It is terribly addictive and fun.And has been consuming far too much of my computer time. Other games I have gotten obsessed with in the past are PaRappa the Rapper
and Katamari Damacy, and the new one for for PS3 drops today so I know how I will be spending my time !

Chicanery Turnbull once made a Katamari ball in SL, and there was a group that was attempting to make a Katamari sim where an avatar could roll up objects like in the video game, but that has yet to happen. It sounds like a scripting nightmare.
A lot of SL’ers also get into the Sims, and Stein Shilova often posts pics of her Sims minions getting into all sorts of mishaps.
I believe in the above picture her sim Blanche was breaking and entering into other sim’s homes and eating their food. or urinating on their sofas, or something .From left to right they are named Dorothy, Rose and Blanche, in homage to The Golden Girls. Stein explained that she has lost interest in her Sims…
Sims 3 is fun until someone points out that being entertained by torture is also something that serial killers enjoy. And the Sims make me nervous. They are so f*cking needy. They always are complaining that they have to go to the bathroom or eat or sleep. if SL avies were like that, I would die.
When you aren’t on SL do you play video or computer games? What are some of your faves?

I planned to give up SL when Sims 3 came out. Sadly Sims 3 sucks. So I am still here.
I went the other way, gave up Sims for SL. My SL friends are capable of spending less that 40% of their lives in the bathroom. And they have the brains to get themselves out of a ladderless pool.
Same here. I was like WOWOW I CANT WAIT! And then it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I get addicted sometimes, but not nearly as much as I thought I would be.
I love Katamari. <3
Fallout 3, best story ever.
Fallout 3 +DLC, Fable 2, Sims 2(cause 3 does suck), Guild Wars, Facebook games cause sometimes I'm a tool, GTA, etc etc so on and so forth. I play a lot of various games, they are my entertainment budget instead of movies and clubs.
Freakin Plants Vs Zombies is addictive.. so is Peggle though… my friend's 4 yr old twins looove playing "Zombies!" as they call it.
Vasebreaker endless 1 is KILLING me. I cannot get past stage 8.
My first ever mutiplayer-online game addiction was Bomberman … good old 20th century.
the game was originally gonna be called "lawn of the dead". infinitely better name.
Popcap has more of my money than i do.
Oh and star wars, anything star wars. I'm constantly playing the old games too. eagerly awaiting the KOTOR online thing
I used to play Sims a lot. I found the hack that allowed you to knock up men, so I'd just repeatedly knock up other male characters, watching them waddle around all pregnant.
This led to a lot of unwanted Sim children that I'd wall up or leave in the bottom of pools because I didn't want to deal with them. You had to really go to great pains to kill the pixel children, because there was a sim social worker who would retrieve the baby unless you walled them off.
I also really enjoyed moving my own characters into the game character's houses and then killing them off one-by-one.
Think about that the next time you skip out on Mixtape. Muhaha. haha. ha.
I used to LOVE the Sims. I actually enjoyed building and decorating the houses more than actually playing. I always used hacks to keep moods up and to make kids grow. Also, who needs a maid when you have old folks to push around.
I haven't been able to get into the Sims3. You would think a game that has me stealing candy from babies and getting taken away by the paddy wagon would have me glued to the screen. Oh well.
I play me some team fortress 2
I was a Simsaholic before I came to SL. In fact, I thought SL *was* the Sims, but more like a "freeware" version (since I was too cheap to pay to play The Sims Online, this was appealing). Day one in SL was doomsday for my poor Sims and I haven't been back to Sim Lane since.
