Halloweentastic: Part I

Had enought of SL Drama? Getting cold? Darker earlier? Feel the need to hibernate till Spring? (maybe that’s just me) But never fear, Halloween is nearly here and I’ve found a selection of good themed sims to explore.

Exodi Quest for Flesh Scavenger hunt opens on the 16th October, lot’s of great Halloween themed items to pick up.  Twenty-three candies to find, each with a different prize inside. Items are available for both male and female avatars including eyes and themed skins.  The build is beautiful, muted autumn tones lots of pumpkins, seating areas, trees and a prim sky, beware on the hunt though, the item’s move around once found……

Asylum

Asylum is my favourite Halloween build, an abandoned Mental institution, full of little rooms, knocked over tables, long long corridors and padded cells like this one.  Eerie and spooky, it’s a build that’s been around for a while, and not just for halloween.  The sign as you go in states “It is a crime to bring alcohol, drugs, weapons or explosives onto the asylum grounds. By entering asylum grounds you consent to the search of your person, property, and vehicle.”

Bentham Forest is a PG sim, a Spooky Faery forest with lots of lovely details, the streaming lights through the trees are particularly good.  What’s great about this sim is it has a build enabled, with a short autoreturn so, for a  few minutes, so you can place down a pose ball to take pictures.

Dragon Rose Ilse, Beautifully made cathedral, cobwebs, dark and gothic, they turned off build since I was last here, which is a shame but its still an amazing place for taking gothic or Halloween pictures.

Pocos Locos is a Halloween Trick or treat build, where you knock on the various doors and choose trick or treat, you sometimes get a prize, sometimes get a scare, but if you find the key you can open the chest and get a free tiny avatar.
