I’m not going to justify Gogo and her actions – I’m just saying I think everyone over-exaggerates her reputation.

Would you rather a world of liars and sneaky people or would you rather honesty?

Gogo isn’t a bad person, she’s just honest with her opinions, which is commendable, not enough people are comfortable in themselves to be honest with opinions.

I feel I should add that I’m not a zombie clone part of Gogo’s army.

I also think people need to suck it up and learn that people are going to be nasty – welcome to the world. It’s be awesome if everyone could get along, but lets face it – that’s not going to happen.

I don’t see the article as a personal attack against Gogo, I think Lauren gave her honest opinion on Gogo, which is better than lying.

It doesn’t matter what people say about you, because the truth is the only thing that matters. If you can’t live with who you are, and peoples opinion of you matters more than your own of yourself, then there are problems at hand that are nothin’ to do with SL or this column.

Sorry…kinda rambled there.

OH – I didn’t realize that the format of this column was going to be say ugly things in lieu of an answer.

It’ll certainly get resonses.

Just for the record:I was out of town, two states away in a SNOWSTORM and missed the drama-rama, just stopped by SCD to see what was new. I’m not BFF’s with Gogo and I could give a fig if you like her or not.
I just think there’s a difference in being witty and just saying mean things.

I dunno if this warrants high drama, but it’s certainly mean spirited. So it oughta be good for some down the road, I’ll bet on that.

So I watched basically everything as it unfolded today, and it was the same story as things always go when someone says something about Gogo. I never even knew about this blog until she posted her Plurk. That is something that she does often and I got an idea why. She does enjoy the attention and the sympathy she gets from when this happens. She enjoys the power of all of her friends and people who want to be her friend saying “We love Gogo, and you better leave her alone”.
Same thing went for the girl she called out on her blog. I never even knew about this conversation until she made a blog about it. Now we are at a point where we see if she decides to speak out about everyone’s opinion on her or how people feel she treats them. I will say this don’t expect her to address this anymore. She is in full ignore mode and instead of addressing the issue. This is a good idea for a poll Gogo. “How many of you really like me or secretly hate me. please be honest”. Today is like a Christmas movie staring gogo as “The Grinch”

Let’s see if her heart can increase and then she return all the presents to Yooville.

I would like to say thanks to Lauren for answering my question, which was the first letter.
I would also like to point out I asked this question simply because I have read Gogos blog for quite some while now, because alot of the pictures and things she shows can be very pretty.
The question itself was an honest one – through reading her blog I have seen her being quite rude about people and then showing no remorse when people confront her about it, and automatically about 20 people spring up to attack whoever had the cheek to confront their friend! Its the fact she is like this about people, not caring at all about their feelings, but then comes across all sugary and sweet.
I think most people with a high profile blog will know their readers are going to be curious about them (I am in no way being a stalker – I have a very happy sl and rl!) I just wanted to see if you could shed some light on the subject and to see anothers pov.
Another thing I would like to point out is that this is the first time I have ever submitted something to SCD,Im not associated it, or somebodys alt. It was a genuine question

Lauren I would first off like to give you a cheer for having the balls to say what is on your mind and keeping it up. I have followed gogo’s blog for a while now and I think it’s extremely creative. She also puts together the cutest outfits which I respect. I have also seen the ugly side of gogo. She isn’t perfect true but that Isn’t an excuse to treat others like gum on your shoe. I would like to offer another opinion if you are friends with gogo and own a store which she enjoys. Make sure she isn’t simply your friend to get the “samples”. Do I think gogo is fake? Do you even have to ask, of course I do. Do I respect her work? Yes I do. Would I enjoy going to dinner with her? Hell no! Like the person up top said. Gogo you are a bitch. FIX IT!

I love Gogo.

In the almost 3 years I’ve been logging into SL, I’ve come across a LOT of backstabbing, lying, insincere, thieving bitches who are in some form or manner involved in SL fashion.

Gogo is one name on an extremely short list of people in SL whom I trust implicitly, and the only reason her name is on there is because she’s EARNED my trust over the years.

I don’t tolerate fake “friends”. I don’t know how to be nice back to someone who has a saccharine smile plastered on their face when I know that behind the facade is a mean-spirited cow. I would NOT be friends with her if she behaved like this in the slightest degree.

The fact is, Gogo’s always been up front, honest, and she doesn’t do two-faced niceness. Sure, she also doesn’t sugarcoat her opinions but I’ll take her brand of honesty over the rampant, sly cattiness I see in SL, anyday.

Sure, people can call me one of her “fangirls”; I won’t care if they just don’t get it. Gogo is my FRIEND. We’ve had our disagreements, differences of opinions, viewpoints, etc… but in the end, she’s ultimately won me over because I can see for myself that she deserves my respect, something I’m quite miserly about handing out.

How can you talk about someone you didnt know ? Gogo is one of the nicest women I met in-world ! I talk from time to time with her and it is always fun. She is never cold or “claws like a tiger”. That is so stupid. She is a hard working woman who runs, in my opinion, the best blog about second life. Try to do the same! Do you really think blogging is that easy?

“Famous”? Oh in a role play way right? The actual “famous” people I know in SL maintain a very low profile for the most part. Some don’t. Like Drew. But most do.

There are no “Slebrities”. Think hard about this and you may agree that some mostly geeky (unspecified gender) in a bathrobe hacking away in photoshop to make a sexy outfit or two is not “famous” lmao.

Ever watch the Video Game Awards? Despite the game’s success those geeks that have issues with an acceptance speech are never going to be “famous”. Their video games are. But not them.

Callie ought to be famous (in the marketing and PR community). She is even smart enough to run a credit card clearing house for SL rofl. MEGABRAINS! But, sadly, she is still just a video game character.

Sucks but all your men and horses won’t put you back together again if LL gets mad at you and knocks your ass off the wall by banning you. So it is better to keep in mind that SL is a pile of bullshit and is incapable of ever becoming serious business because insane literal poster children in a god damned book for the mentally ill can and do ban anyone that competes with their quest to be the top attention whore in Second Life.

I found your blog as it is the hottopic on the plurk feed right now for the gogo question answer session. I want to know this. Why does she get so defensive when a person mentions her name? It’s almost like she is ready to murder all those that dare to utter her name with any negative intentions. Quick to call the person insane, stalker, jealous, cunts, fuckers, bitch, stupid. Why does she swing her blog sword like thor’s might hammer when she feels she is being discussed? I think that when you put yourself out there on a blog and you feel that everyone is beneath you. Then you try to cover that up by saying you are trying to be real and not fake. Yet you are just being a shallow uppity bitch with a fashion sense and a pretty avatar.
