To the person who posted #3:
You are an idiot. That set was a joke between said competitor, another one, I and the rest of the people responding/reading that plurk. Funny how you thought any of it was real since the dare was to make the worst poses possible. They aren’t even for sale.
I’m sorry you don’t get our brand of sarcasm.

Dear #2, you obviously have been sucked into the drama. If you hadn’t, as you claim, you wouldn’t have posted your secret.
Dear #7, you are a sad storyteller just looking for attention and sympathy. What a pathetic liar you are.

To #1: If LL were to change the metric scale tomorrow and your magic prim were to tell you that you’re at 1 m, would you stage a protest or self-immolate? Because, you know, they could and it wouldn’t change a thing for other people. A RL metre has a physical definition, the SL one is ar-bi-tra-ry. It’s really fine if you fancy being shorter than everyone else, just quit claiming that you are closer to reality than we are.
I thought last week’s secrets were blah but this week’s even beat them.

1. I’ll have to agree. I still used a modified “Ruth” shape although a little taller. I get comments about by avi being too skinny or too short. I’ve heard people on mic mention things about the “weight” of my avi but when I counter them they run to IMs. This usually comes from avi’s who think the measurements of 39 24 42 are regular and normal. I could care less what they decide to do and until they start buying my shape, skin, clothes, and hair they can stfu.
2. I’m glad to be clueless on most of these designer attack or rebuttal secrets.
3. ….Ok ^
4. This party looks a little boring if it’s the one you’re commenting about. You probably didn’t miss anything.
6. Totally agree you summed it up perfectly.
7. Maybe you should call CPS. She may not be addicted to drugs but she’s following the same format as someone who’s addicted to hard drugs.

1. I agree. All of you who are hung up on someone else’s avatar shape in a world where dragons talk, and chicks walk around in stilettos, pink ears and bushy tails…can kiss my gigantic, 100 height, thick ass.
2. Good one. LOL!
6. LMAO!
7. You should have sat your mother down and said that to her face, instead of venting on this blog.

3. Is so true…your plurks have become mean spirited and are NOT offering the so called “constructive criticism” you claim nor do the “LOL’s” add anything to it other than meanness either. The poster to #3 is not the only one who feels this way and people you would be surprised about feel it as well. Many have lost respect for you and yes…many will think twice about shopping at your store. Perhaps looking at how you say things or really taking into account the old saying “if you can say anything nice…” really is the best way to go. Either way I and many others are disappointed in you.

So author of number 3, you are in Dove Swanson’s store buying her $1000L no mod/no copy/no transfer “Sexy Beast” pose set that isn’t actually on sale because the whole thing was actually just a joke between friends? Good luck with that.

I don’t know #7, but I know of someone doing pretty much the same thing, losing her husband and kids in the process. Really sad, but like Stella said, its an addiction and that needs some kind of intervention.

#7 For falala, I think that’s rude to say to him/her. Perhaps your way of thinking is why she/he didn’t go to the cops? Every think of that?
You should really have a sit down though with your mother and talk out your differences.
5- I dont get this one… what do the designers keep naming after who what?

1. anywhere from 50 to 60 is a good height, below that is fucking wrong. Also those people look like they have huge feet and just look like hobbits. Anything above 60 is too tall.
4. Why do you spell the word has, HAZ? fucking retard. I hate people that talk like that. It’s not cute or cool. Stupid pricks.
5. This one is true. Half the “hers” are guys anyway. Most of them post crappy blogs like this site.

4. Those people are so mean to you! Throwing a party and not inviting you! That’s terrible! I hope your bleeding heart mends before you bleed out!

I’ve noticed that the majority of avatars who are ‘realistic’ in height are not so realistic in flaws……. and why are they so obsessed with everyone height anyway, i can be 10 or 100, why is that anyones business but mine?

1) A fun way to end those convos is rez one of those freebie av rulers, click it, come up with a sane female height like 5′8”, and see the amazons be a 7′6”.
2)I hope you don’t make clothes, that graphic and font are awkward at best.
3)What?
4)I’m sad, but if you’re going to go for a Lolcats thing, go all out . “Can I has an invite?” would have been cute.
5)Starley? Is it Starley? 1/4th of shops I’ve been to have something named Starley.
6)I agree. Could be a bit like new baby syndrome ; “The bloggers like the new designers more ;_;” “No, no, well established designer, we love you both equally!”
7)No comment.

I am a short av (5 feet ISL) and I get the ageplayer crap too but whatever- when a giant pink dragon tells me I’m an ageplayer I just lol at them. Whatever.
#7’s been happening for a long time. When I got on IRC in college I met a couple that lived in a crack house and were nasty as all get out. They cleaned up and got married and had a gorgeous baby. Then in 2004 they discovered World of Warcraft. Last I heard of them they got divorced and swap married another WoW couple and the kid was living with it’s grandmother.
It’s all about moderation.

1 – Short avs get called ageplayers. Tall avs get called Amazons. I don’t see this as fully comparable since short avs get bounced from sims and the most I have to put up with is people who don’t build for tall avs (yes, I’ve had it happen where I’ve been unable to enter a store because the door was too short). That said, some folks here need to clean up their acts before they start preaching diversity. Saying “60 is too tall” is just as much a pack of BS as saying it’s too short.
The av for this name is at 100 height and 100 body width. I’ve dated avs whose heads only came to my breasts, so it’s not like I care where the slider is so long as we’re all adults. Can anyone who thinks height matters say the same?
3 – Wow. I was wondering what was up with the Sexy Beast poses. Now I’m amused. They seemed a bit odd.
4 – Minus points for failing to use the Impact font and making it red text to boot, which renders it all but unreadable. Complete fail for using a tone that proves you care a lot more than you are faking. Bonus fail: You and 99.99999% of the grid weren’t invited, me included. I recommend picking a better class of friends.
6 – Oooh, someone touched a nerve.
7 – I call shenanigans.

#1: First, as a so-called “short avi”, I can honestly say that I’m pretty sick of being called an age-player and banned from sims, without given a chance to explain.
I’m also pretty sick of feeling like I even need to explain at all.
Tall avatars might be insulted to think that We of Modest Sliders have taken to calling them Amazons, but I honestly think it’s just a defense. I had no problem with anyone’s avatar, until I began to get discriminated against for the height of mine. Now, I admit, I do harbor some bitterness.
If, tomorrow, the “magic prim” said we were 1 meter tall, then I guess we’d be 1 meter tall. But if we shouldn’t care what the prim says, then why should we care what you say?
Exactly what system of measurement died and left you in charge, Amazons of the Grid?

*raises an eyebrow*
Some bitterness? Life’s too short, Alice. Breathe. If someone’s stupid enough to assume you’re an ageplayer, why let them drag you down? And “just a defense” doesn’t make it less annoying to be insulted.
Then again, why should I care what you think? Clearly, you’re allowing yourself to harbor a grudge over a set of pixels. Not my kind of energy, I don’t care how tall your av is.
